Part 437....

People always notice an original, and it's certainly hard to miss our Original clean that won't leave your 2000 parts feeling dry.

So leave your impression, too, with the fresh smell of clean.

Not only will Part 437 notice, someone else's Part 437 will as well.

A couple of days back, I went to Stop N Shop, the nearby store, to buy a bar of soap... (Yes, I do take bath and I do buy new soaps...)

Was not sure of what should I buy.. Then I saw this one soap called.. LEVER 2000.

It had this amazing set of lines (mentioned above) on it...

On reading them, I immediately bought it..

Can you guess what PART 437 of the 2000 PARTS in the human body could be as specified in the lines?

What did the advertiser had in his mind while writing that?

That thing triggered some naughty thoughts in my mind..

Does it do the same for you??? ;-D

Himesh Top 10...

Lot has been read and written by this man...

Most of us have criticised and ridiculed him...

Some of us like him and defend him...

But nothing deters this guy from churning out songs..

Songs that are sung by him, filmed on him and songs that work..

I know its hard to digest.. But inspite of becoming repetitive.. Somehow the songs work.. Atleast one song of his movies *HAS* to work..

I am sure.. noone would mind shaking a leg or gyrating their butts if this song is played..

Anyways.. I thought that maybe I'd put down 10 of his better songs...

Maynot be in any order...

1. Aaaaaaaaaaaaapki Kashish .. Ho OOOOOOOOOOOO Ho.... Sarafarosh hai..

  • From his ground breaking movie... Aashiq Banaya Aapne.. I think this was better than the title song of the movie...

2. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Aashiq Banaaaya Aapne

  • This is all where it started... The hit song... Our guy's story starts from here.. And the people praised him.. The guy even got a Filmfare... Not for Best Music.. But for Male Playback Singer!!!

3. Oooooooooooooooo... Jhalak dikhalaajaaa... Jhalak dikhalaajaaa... Ek baar Aaajaa aaaja aaajaa....

  • Again another great track.... Works right the first time you listen.. Emraan Hashmi(Another controversial figure) makes it work even better..

4. Lagi Lagi Lagi.. Prem Dhun Laagi..

  • Again another great track.... from the movie Aksar... The beats of this song makes it work...

5. Zara Jhooom Jhooom Jhooom

  • This track from Tom, Dick and Harry (which otherwise was a sad movie..) made the movie work... The movie was a hit... well atleast an average hit.. To appreciate this song.. Listen it on some good quality speakers having good Bass... The beats are tooo good.

6. Tera Tera Surooooooooooooor... - Remix

  • The best of his album I guess.. Better than the original.. Its a fast song.. and the beats are again really great.. He is the 'BEATS' Man...

7. Aa.. Aa... Aashiqui Meri... Jaa.... Jaa.. jayegi jaan meri...

  • The only of the two good things of an otherwise utter crap movie.... (Comeon, how could Subhash Ghai think of making such a movie with *SUCH* a suspense??? I guess.. Yaadein has caused some irrepairable damage to his brains.. Otherwise he wouldn't have come up with Kisna either.. Another waste was Shahid Kapoor.. A sheer disgrace to the fraternity called 'GUYS'.. Does he even look one?) Anyways, sorry for being so emotional.. Well if you are wondering about the other good thing of the movie.. Its Kareena Kapoor.. looked simply gorgeous.. Ok.. I know I am in rough waters for talking good about Kareena Kapoor.. But then.. I STILL AM A KAREENA KAPOOR FAN..!!!

8. Tum Saanson Mein... Tum Dhadkan mein... Tum Jeeeeeegar mein...

  • Again a really nice song... But if I had to see a video of any song of this movie.. I would opt for the Fanaa song... Where Akshay kumar and Katrina Kaif run in slow motion... Some how it reminds me of the famous serial where people wear *RED CLOTHES* and run some place where there is a lot of sand around ... ;-D

9. Jab tak khudaai Rahe... Tere seene mein mera naam Raheeeeeeein.. Allah Kare..

  • Again a nice composition from Ahista Ahista.. This song is more better because of the sweet couple on the video... Abhay Deol and Soha Ali Khan... Liked Abhay's Socha na tha.. and am actually waiting for this movie to come.. I think it should be another sweet one..

10. Jabse tumko dekha.. Jabse tumko sooochhaa... Dard-e-dil liya re.... Ishq Kiya Kiya..

  • This song from Anthony Kaun hai... Another foot Tapping song... Somehow the only word that registers in my mind from this song is 'ANJUMAN'. Though I dont know what it means.. it sounds nice..

11. Ai Meri.. Ai Meri.. Zohrajabeen... (Dont know about the rest of the lyrics)

  • Ok.. I thought I'd write top 10.... But somehow did not feel good without adding this song to the list. The great man obliges us by not making an appearance in this video.. which is in fact a really good one.. Like the dance steps of the whole cast... Simply great.. :-)
  • The video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6DUT_tk-ig&search=hera%20pheri (worth a watch)

Disclaimer :

This may make you feel I like him veryyy much.. I am a die-hard fan of his, etc... etc... None of which is true.. I am just a connoisseur of good music.. and I like the *MUSIC* of Himesh Reshammiya as I like any other's. I dont like the videos.. He looks very depressing... He is the same guy who gave us 'Just Chill Chill', Tere Naam, Humraaz, etc...

And, finally I wrote this.. b'coz I now have a lot of free time on my hand till the next weekend!!!

WHAT A SONG...
I mean a really amazing song....

Of late.. I can't simply get enough of this song...

The way the song builds the tempo...

Starts slowly, reaches its high and then slows down...

The sounds..

The guitars, The drums, The effects, the vocals...

The video...

Friday Nights....

Ah, Friday Night!!!

The best of the times..

How peaceful it can be...

The feeling is absolute bliss..

Five days.. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Time flies by.. There is no time to even take a breath as you would like to...
Each day almost a xerox copy of the other..

Get up in morning after a duel with the alarm clock.. (Normally, I win.. even the Snooze mode gives up. I snooze the alarm atleast 5 times..)
Get ready in a hurry.. as I am mostly late..
Rush to the office..
Check mails and check a few routine sites.
The current being

  • ICICIDIRECT (Keep hoping that atleast today I'd make some profit in the share market.. But Alas!),
  • Rediff - My connection to the outside world and India.
  • ICICI bank. (I always like to know what my current financial situation is.. So that I can plan my expenses/investments accordingly. I hate beeing ignorant about those.

Attend some meetings, open some documents and Guess what??..
Its the lunch time..!!!

Go to the canteen, grab something.. (even the lunch is getting monotonous. Bored with the options)
Come back and surf a few more sites
Then maybe open up the black mainframe screen and do "some" work.
By evening, I would be fed up of everything and would be eagerly waiting to get away from the black hole called "OFFICE".
Come home, cook food, watch TV and sleep.

This has been the pattern of my weekdays. Generally I dont get to think much about each day. I know its the same.
So much so that I lose track of the day and date.

As a result, I tend to miss wishing many a people on their b'days or simply even calling friends and relatives, just to say 'Hi'.
This is what I hate most about the weekdays. I feel like a machine.

But then comes Friday evening. Gives that sense of freedom. Yess!!! Now I am free of the routine obligations..

This is my time and I will decide how to spend it.

Ever imagined how your feet feel when you take off your socks and shoes after a tiring day...

Now, isn't that feeling Something special???

Yes, it is...

That is exactly what I feel now....!!!

Happy Birthday to Me......

Okay... I had decided earlier that I would write as how did I spend my Birthday.. So there I go..

Everyone likes their birthday..
Even I like mine.. wonder why?

'Coz Its my day...

In the whole year, there comes this one day, when family, friends, relatives and colleagues remember you all at a time, treat you specially.
Everyone would wish you.
They'd either wish personally or probably give you a call or send a mail or nowadays even scrap you on Orkut.
With each wish, each call, each email, each scrap, comes a smile on your face.
A thought that someone has taken some moments out of his/her life to make this day special for you.
It reminds that you are not just another person on the planet.
And it is this special feeling that makes you long for it throughout the year. Even more as the day approaches.

For me it was pretty much the same.
As the clock was close to striking midnight, I was waiting for my cell to ring.
The first of my b'day calls was from my home. My Family. Mom, Dad, Kaka, Kaku, Parimal, Dhawal.
Unfortunately I had missed first two calls from them but then called them to get my first of my birthday wishes.
Though it was at around 10.30pm on the 10th, I'll consider it as first 'coz it was already 11th July in India. And as it is, who minds his b'day to be a bit longer?? Atleast, I don't.. :-)

Anyways, Next to bag the silver was Suneet. He called 10 mins before midnight while Miss Nasa took the Bronze.
Then it was Hemal, Seema, Amol, Sagar, Himansu, Karthik, Guru, Sarang. All at midnight. (I hope I haven't missed anyone)
Amongst all these b'day calls, I had a call with offshore team. Had to ask them to do some change on the presentation that we are working on.Luckily, that did not last long... :-)

I had made a resolution for my Birthday. I would not spend the day slogging in the office till late. I would get out of the office as soon as possible. Drag my friends as well out of their work and atleast go out for dinner..
Come on, its my birthday and I would not be sitting at my home or office looking at my laptop doing some document review...
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.. Even the thought of such a b'day sucks big time!!!

So got up in the morning all cheered up and smiling.. Decided on making the day indeed a special one.
Just before leaving to office, Checked orkut and replied to most of the friends
On reaching office, Checked the mails from friends and replied them immediately.

One of my friends in Bangalore had mailed a friend here to ensure that I am given the birthday bumps "properly".. How mean of him!!!

Anyways, My enthu carried me throughout the day well and as I had decided I got to pull my friends out of the office.

We decided that we'd party at our house. We thought we'd get something to drink and maybe order some pizza for food.
But then I decided that afterall, its my b'day.. So this occassion deserves something no less than a champagne..
Hence I got two of them.. :-)

Now was when my birthday started. The guys came home, got a cake for me to cut..
After I cut it, they started smearing it all over my face and hair. That was when I realised it wasn't just a cake..
The cream on it was in fact ICE-CREAM!!!!
Then it was champagne time.. Now obviously u'd be expecting that I wud have been sprayed with it.

Obviously, my friends would not disappoint. And disappoint, they did not..

I was then asked to get ready for the next birthday ritual.. Birthday bumps..
Oh Boy.. and my bum still shudders at that memory.. (Shubhankar, Chetan and Nitin.. Guys, watch out on ur b'days.. U r dead meat)

Later we ordered pizza from Domino's for our dinner..
It was pretty late by then.. almost 11.30pm.
But then still it was not the end. Ketaki called up to wish me before the day ended.
By then, I had achieved what I wanted to for my birthday.

Only hitch for me in otherwise a perfect day for me was the Mumbai blasts..

Though none of whom I know was much affected by it, it was indeed disturbing. For me it was the last thing to happen on such a day.

May the souls of the deceased rest in peace...

May the injured get back well soon...

And the culprits rot in hell... (Hope the govt does something on this..)

Hmmm.. Now what next..

So now that I have written my first post, cut the ribbon of my blog... Now what next...

What should I write about..Seems like a herculean task...

I guess I can go on writing about this for long...

I think all my posts would go on like this...

Let me think.. Yes.. I have an idea...

Tomorrow is my B'day.. :-) (YEAH... Readers, if any, do wish me Happy Birthday)

I will write about my day...

However screwed up it may be. Yes, I am expecting it to get screwed.

Have this presentation to make next week for which I have to get my Powerpoint slides ready.

Uff It sucks.. First of all, I think things are not going as I would like them to go. It puts me off like anything. I have started hating my laptop like anything. But then, u've got to do it. No escape..

Anyways.. I am determined not to let the office work screw up my birthday..
Will have to emotionally blackmail my friends here.. Lure them for a party so that I can make my B'day worth it.. (Ok. That does not mean that my friends are geeks and don't like Partying..)

They would not spare a thought for robbing me to get a party in "NORMAL" situations. But then the pressure is too much for the presentation.. I pity them and myself as well... So now u know the situation is definitely not "NORMAL".

Well this reminds me of my last birthday.. I got to cut my birthday cake "FOUR" times... (How cool is that..) Yup.. two times on the day itself. Once a week before that and then at the end of the month.

Seriously.. How much do I miss being in India...!!! *huuuuuuuuhhhhh*

Anyways.. Lemme take a break now.. get back to the "SO CALLED WORK". Will write tomorrow about my day.

Hope that the first call I receive tonite is either of my friends or my family.. Definitely not of the offshore team calling to discuss some project issues.!!!
